Congo-Brazzaville have a difficult assignment ahead of them as they visit Alexandria in an aim to secure the full three points against Egypt in a Group E, 2018 Fifa World Cup Qualifier on Sunday at the Borg El Arab Stadium.

Kick-off is at 7pm CAT (SA, GMT+2).

Congo want to secure their first win in the group as their dream to reach Russia next year is already up in flames.

However, a win for the Congolese will mean they have managed to keep the group open until the last match next month.

Although coach Sebastien Migne's men are fresh from a 5-1 defeat and a 1-1 draw against the Black Stars of Ghana, they will want to win come Sunday.

The Red Devils occupy the bottom of the table with one point from three losses and one draw.

Migne will motivate his charges to beat the Pharaohs and players such as Fabrice Nguessi to find the back of the net once again.

For Egypt, a win on Sunday will secure a post for them in Russia next year, but they will hope to see a favourable result on Saturday between Ghana and Uganda in the other group match.

Kwesi Appiah's men must beat the Cranes for the Pharaohs to progress to Russia.

The North Africans have had a good run so far and are fresh from a win and a loss to Moses Basena's Uganda in September.

A disciplined approach will be pivotal for the hosts as they want to consolidate their top spot with a win.

Internationals such as Mohamed Salah and Mohamed Elneny are set to be key for the Pharaohs on Sunday to keep their dream alive.
