Hearts of Oak needed a controversial penalty to beat Elmina Sharks and advance to the round of 23 of the MTN FA Cup.

Referee Dan Dogbetor pointed to the spot after he was convinced Thomas Abbey had been fouled in the box.

His decision was hotly disputed by Sharks coach Kobina Amissah who ordered his players to leave the pitch.

Play was held for some minutes, until he was later prevailed upon to allow his team to resume play.

Hearts of Oak’s Isaac Oduro converted the penalty which sent the Phobians through.
