Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu in in line to make a quick return from injury after stepping up his rehabilitation over the weekend.

The 24-year-old injured his fibula while in action for his Italian club Udinese in the sensational Serie-A win over Juventus right before the international break.

The injury forced Badu out of the Ghana squad for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Rwanda.

The tough-tackling midfielder now looks set to make a quicker than expected return to first team action as he has started running.

Badu had only last week been working in the gym to build up his muscles.

He has now stepped up his recovery after the swelling around the injured area had died down.

There are no time lines yet set for the return of Agyemang Badu but it is believed he could be ready to play again in some few weeks to come.
