Ex Ghana goalkeeper Abukari Damba has hailed Fatau Dauda after his display against DR Congo on Sunday.

The 27-year-old AshGold shot-stopper put up a brave showing on his full AFCON debut on Sunday as the Black Stars manage a 2-2 draw against DR Congo.

Udinese midfielder Agyemang-Badu and Kwadwo Asamoah gave Ghana a 2-0 lead but Tresor Mputu and Mbokani levelled for the Leopards.

Dauda had to be on his mettle to deny West Bromwich Albion striker Youssouf Mulumbu seven minutes from time and made a couple of world class stops.

Damba is satisfied with Dauda's performance on his full AFCON debut.

"Dauda got everything right. His reflexes were good and also made some crucial saves in the game. He was very satisfactory," he told Accra-based Happy FM.

The former Hearts of Oak keepers' training also lauded the performance of DR Congo goalie Robert Kidiaba.

"Kidiaba did very well in the game especially with the chance Gyan had. He narrowed the angle that is why Gyan couldn't score.
