Ghana international Daniel Amartey who joined Leicester City last season is targeting a breakthrough season with the Foxes in their title defense.

Amartey joined Leicester last January and managed just five games as Claudio Ranieri’s men claimed a historic English Premier League title.

The Ghanaian who can play both in midfield and defense was the hero as the English champions beat Celtic to claim a pre-season trophy this week before heading to the U.S to continue their preparations.

He has since been involved in all the games in the build up to the season and has shown tremendous commitment and desire to break through the first eleven.

The Ghanaian is one of the touted replacements for N’Golo Kante who has decided to join Antonio Conte’s Chelsea.

With the Africa Cup of Nations some few months away the 23-year-old will be hoping to enjoy a run-in before heading to Africa.
