Daniel Asamoah insists he has no personal grudges against Ashantigold despite his controversial exit from the club.

The 29-year-old terminated his contract with the miners after spending an incredible 13 years at the club.

The powerful midfielder endured a difficult spell under current coach Bashir Hayford where he was restricted to the substitute bench, forcing him to seek a new challenge elsewhere.

Asamoah insists he has no personal axe to grind against his former employers.

“I don’t hold anything against Ashantigold. This is a club I have played for 13 years and I feel very happy leaving,” he told Oman FM

“I have benefited immensely from Ashantigold. I have built a house, married and build a nice family due to my association with the club.

“I hold no personal beef with anybody and thank the management and the supporters for their support over the years.

“It’s been great working with the club and I will forever remain grateful for the mutual cooperation.”

Asamoah is now available on the free transfer and can join any club of his choice.
