Ghanaian midfielder Daniel Nii Adjei has hailed TP Mazembe’s qualification to the group phase of the CAF Champions League.
The Congolese giants secured their path to the money zone after beating Ivorian side Sewe Sports 1-0 to advance on the away-goals rule.
The former Asante Kotoko captain has been left thrilled with the side’s qualification to the money zone of Africa’s elite inter-club competition.
“It’s a great feeling and we’re looking forward to another Champions League challenge,” he said
“It was a difficult game against Sewe but we managed to win. It’s obvious our away goal did the magic for us.
“I am really looking forward to the competition and hope that we can go all the way to win the title.”
Adjei joined the Lubumbashi-based side in 2012 but has struggled to hold down a regular position in the team.
