Ghana defender Daniel Opare marked his debut for Besiktas in their 3-1 win over Sariyer  in the Ziraat Turkish Cup on Thursday.

The 24-year-old, who is on loan from Portuguese giants FC Porto, played full throttle.

Goals from Necip Uysal, substitute Furkan Yaman and debutant Tolgay Arslan ensured the home side took a giant step towards qualification from the group stage.

After an uneventfull half hour, the Black Eagles began to make their presence felt with a couple of close calls and went ahead on 41 minutes through a brilliant header from Captain Necip Uysal.

Sariyer looked more attacking in the second half but failed to get that equaliser. Then, the young Furkan Yaman slotted it home from just inside the box to give the Black & Whites a two-goal lead.

The visitors reduced the deficit on Cemre’s header in the 81th minute, only to see Besiktas new signing Tolgay Arslan strike back with a low effort from outside the area that nestled in the bottom corner of the net and close the scoring for the night.
