Danish-born Ghanaian midfielder Danny Amankwaa is on the road to recovery from an Achilles tendon injury that has ruled him out since late March.

The 23-year-old snapped his Achilles tendon in late March and is projected to be out of action for six months.

The midfielder went down during FC Copenhagen’s defeat at Randers on Sunday and was immediately withdrawn from the game.

He contributed a goal in 23 games for Copenhagen in their campaign.

Amankwaa underwent the knife a couple of weeks after his injury to quicken the rate of his recovery.

He has already begun rehab and is likely to start running to speed up his recovery rate.

Amankwaa is at Copenhagen with Black Stars defender-cum-midfielder Daniel Amartey who helped the side win the Danish Cup.
