Danish Tommy Moller Nielson claims he's signed two-year pre-contract agreement with Ghana's Kotoko

Danish coach Tommy Moller Nielson claims he’s signed a two-year pre-contract agreement with Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko.

Nielson, 54, courted controversy last week when he was brought in by the club’s chief’s financier Dr Kwaku Frimpong of Champion Divine Clinic to serve as the technical director of the Porcupine Warriors.

The former Rangers coach has been speaking about his vision for the two-time African champios, promising an attacking brand of football if he gets the nod.

He has claimed he has signed a two-year pre-contract agreement with Kotoko and will begin work next month.

“I've signed for Kotoko and will be in charge but my vision at the club is to win more games and trophies to make the supporters happy,” Nielsen told Goal.

“Kotoko players will play positive football under me, kicking the ball forward, passing a lot and creating a lot of chances.

“I always like my strikers to be dangerous against opposing team. I like to play orthodox 4-4-2 with different variations depending on the game and opponents.”

He claims he can measure the weight of expectation associated with managing the biggest club in Ghana.

“I like pressure. Pressure is like a medicine to me, if there is no pressure then it's not me because I'm used to pressure. From all the clubs I've been to, there is always pressure.

“I will definitely come back in October. I need to prepare adequately so that my job comes as a success. I will also try and bring in Danish or European sponsorships to help the team when I'm at post final.”

It’s however unclear if current coach David Dunca will work under an expatriate.
