Budding Asante Kotoko striker Dauda Mohammed admits he is disappointed to have been dropped from Coach Maxwell Konaduââ¬â¢s local Black Stars team but says the disappointment will drive him to work harder.
The 17-year-old striker enjoyed a stellar season and scored twice to hand Asante Kotoko a massive victory against sworn rivals Hearts of Oak in their match day 25 encounter in the just ended First Capital Plus Premier League.
Dauda who was a member of the Black Meteors side which failed to make the medal zone of this yearââ¬â¢s All Africa Games, was part of five players dropped from the local Black Stars team that will play the Ivory Coast on the 18th of this month.
He says like everyone else he is disappointed but is determined to work extra for future opportunities.
ââ¬ÅThe truth is that it always hurts to be dropped from any team and I am being frank on this,â⬠Dauda said
ââ¬ÅBut I am very young and have to be determined to improve and take the lessons going forward.ââ¬
ââ¬ÅEven though i would have loved to be there being dropped will urge me to work harder.ââ¬
The local Black Stars will take on the Elephantââ¬â¢s on the 18thà in Kumasi before travelling to Abidjan for the second leg on the 25nd à of this month.
