Dauda Mohammed blames loss of concentration and defensive lapses for Ethiopia loss

Ghana U20 captain Dauda Mohammed has blamed poor defending and lack of concentration for the side’s loss to Ethiopia in the first leg of the U20 Afcon.

Ghana conceded two quick goals in the early minutes of the game before Jonah Osabutey pulled one back.

And Dauda Mohammed insists the defence lost concentration and defended poorly resulting in the goals they conceded.

“I think we lost concentration and focus in the early minutes of the game.

“You could see that both goals conceded were from defensive lapses but we hope to beat them and qualify in the second leg in Ghana,” Dauda said after the game.

Ghana will host the Ethiopians in a fortnight at the Accra Sports Stadium to book a clash with either Senegal or Tunisia for a ticket to the 2017 U20 Afcon in Zambia.
