Ghana attacker David Accam got his Allsvenskan season started with a fabulous strike for Helsingborg IF but riotous Djurgården fans caused the game to be abandoned.

Helsingborg has fallen behind when Swiss international Aleksandar Prijovic scored for Djurgården in the 14th minute.

But five minutes Accam equalised to send the fans at the Olympia into ecstatic jubilation.  The 24-year-old beautifully controlled a cross from Alvaros Santos before hitting a great volley through the legs of the Djurgarden keeper.

Helsingborg's season has entirely rested on the scoring prowess of the attacker as he has already netted five goals to get them into Swedish Cup semi-finals.

Helsingborg were set to take over the game and clinch victory but angry Djurgården fans besieged the pitch and attacked Helsingborg fans following a pre-match clash which resulted in the death of a fan.

Accam might not be credited with the goal as the game could be replayed or points awarded to Helsingborg.
