Ghana Striker David Accam could lead Chicago Fire’s attack against Portland Timbers in the Major League Soccer match on Saturday.

The 24-year-old has been deployed as winger since he joined the side and scored a fabulous goal as Fire beat FC Dallas 2-0 last weekend.

The pace of the Ghana winger was too hot to handle as he dazzled his way past the Dallas defense with cheeky ease.

And ahead of their meeting with Portland Timbers, coach Frank Yallop is considering using him as lead attacker against Adam Kwarasey’s Portland Timbers.

“Leading it, having David in that role was good. I think it frees him up to explode into those areas and do well,”Yallop said ahead of the game

“We may play David in that spot again, if we feel a team is going to be pushing and we can catch them on a counter.

Kwarasey has been a successive ninth clean slate in the American top-flight but could be confronted with his compatriot when the two teams clash on Saturday.
