Ghana defender David Addy has joined newly-promoted Greek top flight side Panetolikos on a season-long loan deal, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 21-year-old is in search of more playing time to save his international career after returning to his parent club FC Porto this summer.

"It is simple. I need more playing time to show my abilities and improve my football," Addy told GHANAsoccernet.com

The left-back will on Thursday night train for the first time with the Agrinio-based side which won the second-tier league last season to secure promotion.

He spent last season on loan at Portuguese top flight side Academica Coimbra and rejected another move to Rio Ave this term.

Addy absented himself from Porto's training sessions to sort out his next destination.

He signed a three-year deal with the Portuguese champions in January last year from Danish side Randers FC.
