Newly installed Kotoko coach David Duncan has vigorously defended his trophyless record insisting heââ¬â¢s not a specialist in failure.
The 51-year-old is hugely regarded in the West African country for his personality but has not won any major silverware in his 15-year coaching career.
Duncan will be hoping to end the trophy drought after signing a two-year deal with the Ghanaian champions.
The former Hearts trainer has a perfect opportunity to win a silverware against a side which can match his ambitions as compared to previous clubs which lacked the motivation to win the ultimate.
He parried criticism heââ¬â¢s a specialist in failure despite his popularity.
ââ¬ÅI am not noted for winning trophies because I mostly handle clubs that are noted for aiming at the league or FA Cup.â⬠He told reporters at his unveiling ceremony on Thursday.
Heââ¬â¢s had stints with Olympics, Hasaacas, Ashantigold, Hearts of Oak and South African side Free State Stars.
