David Duncan dismissive of choking tag at Kotoko - insists he is built to always take the toughest jobs

David Duncan insists he is not daunted by the task of being the coach of Asante Kotoko.

The 51-year-old has once more again come under immense pressure after failing to lead the side to FA Cup success against Medeama.

Duncan has been subtly blamed for Medeama’s dominance in the FA Cup final match played last weekend.

The former Hearts of Oak trainer thus extends his barren run of winning a major title in his coaching career.

Some have now suggested the tough-talking coach is beginning to crack under the pressure associated with being the coach of a huge club like Kotoko.

But Duncan remains adamant he is unfazed by the herculean task that comes with his job as he is used to taking up tough roles in his career.

"This is not my toughest job," he insisted.

"I took over at Hearts of Oak when they were 15th and finished the season in 7th.

"I started a new season and we were second after 11 games.

"I took Olympics from the bottom and took them into the top four and since I left they have been battling with relegation.

"I came to Kotoko, I don't know which position they were but there was a coach and I came so it meant they were underperforming.

"And now where is Kotoko, 3rd. This is not the toughest job. I take the toughest jobs."
