Roy Arthur beat MNS Doe at the polls on Thursday

Mathew Doe says he is heading to court to challenge the Central Regional FA elections that saw him lose his Executive Committee seat to Roy Arthur.

Doe polled 24 votes as against the 26 garnered by his sole competitor to lose the elections that was held at the Cape Coast Stadium on Thursday.

The defeat ends the 25-year reign of the veteran football administrator as chairman of the Regional FA of the Central Region.

But Doe, who is regarded as the chief chaplain of the Ghana FA insists his victorious competitor was not eligible to contest the elections and will thus proceed to the ordinary court to seek redress.

“I will contest this elections,” Doe said moments after the elections on Thursday.

“It is like you entered university with fake certificates. Once you are found out, will the university say you have completed the school so they will let you go?

“You will be stripped off whatever kind of certificate you secured. This is the situation we find ourselves in and I will go to court to make this point.”
