Asante Kotoko deputy skipper Eric Donkor is interested in signing a new deal following the expiration of his contract.
Donkor endured a mixed season with the Porcupine Warriors as they emerged champions of the MTN FA Cup and there are rumours he would depart the club before the start of next season.
“I am among the ten players whose contracts have expired in the team, and I don’t know the plans of the coach for now. If he needs me in the team, why not I will stay,” he started.
“I have received offers from two foreign football clubs and one local club, so we just wait to see. God knows what is good for me. But I won’t play for any local whiles Kumasi Asante Kotoko still exists and needs me,” he revealed.
Eric Donkor was brought to Kotoko FC as a young player under the administration of Dr. K. K Sarpong, with Maxwell Konadu as the coach, in the 2011/2012 season.
