Defender Issah Ahmed linked with Kotoko return

Published on: 03 February 2012

Defender Issah Ahmed is set to rejoin his former club Asante Kotoko for the remainder of the season, GHANAsoccernet.com understands.

Ahmed has been released by Randers FC after spending four years with the Danish top flight side.

The centre-back  has returned to the country to re-launch his career and sources say he has been contacted by officials of the Kumasi–based club.

Ahmed played for Kotoko before he left for the European adventure and he is seriously considering re-joining his former club.

He could be registered by the club if negotiations go as planned as part of the special dispensation for players who ply their trade abroad.

Ahmed was one of three local Ghana based players at the 2006 Fifa World Cup finals.
