Ghana defender John Boye returned from injury over the weekend to show his class in France after excelling in Stade Rennes' 3-0 away win over Nantes in the French Ligue 1.

The 26-year-old was rated the second best player on the field (7/10) after the Rennes midfielder Anders Konradsen was rated just 7.5/10 ahead of him.

Boye's form would delight Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah who has been sweating over the fitness of his defenders ahead of the 2014 World Cup in June.

It was Boye's first 90 minutes since August 2013 due to injury problems and he demonstrated a great display in the game.
