Delneri: Hellas Verona can still survive

Published on: 31 January 2016

Hellas Verona coach Luigi Delneri insists that his side are not ready to give up on Serie A survival just yet.

The Mastini played out a goalless draw with Torino and remain winless in Serie A after 22 game.

“It was a hard-fought match,” Delneri told Radio Rai.

“The team have been playing well, they have been giving it their all.

“We will continue to believe in ourselves until the end and then we’ll see what happens.”

Delneri provided an update on the transfer market as the club look to make moves in a desperate attempt to save their season.

“We may need to give some players an opportunity to leave the club,” Delneri added

“At the moment we are currently looking to bring in a right-back.”

Verona appear destined for Serie B next season but Delneri insists that this is far from a foregone conclusion.

“Games are running out fast but we must focus on our performances,” Delneri asserted

“We are very much alive.”
