Delneri: Hellas Verona must continue playing like they did against Inter

Published on: 07 February 2016

Hellas Verona coach Luigi Delneri is delighted with his team’s character against Inter and wants it to be repeated in the future.

Verona came back from 1-0 down to lead 3-1 before throwing away the two-goal cushion in the second half, but Delneri was happy with the point against the Nerazzurri and wants to see the squad to keep replicating that type of performance until the end of the season.

“This performances reinforces the belief that we can all play together and that we will be trying our best on the field until the last day,” Delneri told Sky Sport Italia after the game.

“We have to produce performances like this which can convince the fans, the club and the players of our survival.”

Despite the good result on Sunday afternoon, Delneri still thinks there is work to be done in terms of the side’s relegation battle.

“We can still improve our temperament and our strength,” he said.

Verona currently sit bottom of the Serie A table by four points.
