Soulama Abdoulaye no longer needed at Kotoko

Goalkeeper Abdoulaye Soulama insists he habours no hard feelings against Asante Kotoko after he was released by the club.

The 34-year-old was served with official notification last week that he was no longer needed at the club.

Soulama has been with Kotoko for the past seven years and was key to the side’s recent successive triumphs in the Ghanaian top flight.

He is however forced to negotiate his exit from the club with whom he has one year left to run on his contract.

The Burkina Faso international insists he is not worried by the development and is already looking to conclude formalities with Kotoko in order to move on with his career.

“I am not really bothered by the fact that I have been released by Kotoko,” he told Metrio FM.

“It is a big club and I respect the club a lot.

“The only thing now is to get my money and my card and then go and look for a new club.

“Now agents need a free players and now I am free so I believe it is a good opportunity for me to move on.

“I do not want to know the reason why I am being released, I only want to get things done and move on.”
