Ghana midfielder Derek Boateng snatched the match winner for Getafe in their come-from-behind 2-3 win at Almeria on Sunday in the Spanish La Liga.

Almeria are still without a home win in the league, but they looked certain to change that statistic as they went 2-0 up early on.

Kalu Uche headed home unmarked from Albert Crusat's cross to give the home side the lead after seven minutes and Leonardo Ulloa made it two halfway through the first period, when he pounced on a loose ball to fire past Jordi Codina from close range.

Ulloa wasted a good chance to make it 3-0 moments later, and was left to rue that miss as Getafe pulled a goal back after 29 minutes.

It was scored by the excellent Manu del Moral, who burst into the area and was left unmarked to slot home and bring the visitors back into it.

After the break, they soon levelled as a rebound in the Almeria area fell to Miku, who slid the ball underneath Diego Alves to make it 2-2.

Alves kept his side on level terms with two good saves after that, but Manu beat two defenders to set up Derek Boateng for a back-heeled winner from close range with 20 minutes left.

Getafe go into the break on seventh place with 26 points.
