Third-tier side Cape Coast Strikers hosted the national U17 side last Saturday in a friendly game at the Robert Mensah Stadium.

The exercise was to boost the morale of the lower tier side ahead of their Central Region Division 2 league.

It was also to test the Black Starlets for future assignments.

It was an exciting match that saw both sides display top quality football, strikers exhibited sweet flowing game against a well-organized side.

Even though the national team won 4-1, the lower tier side got a lot cheers and plaudits from the fans praising their fine football showcase.

Dr. Kojo Benjamin Taylor the proud owner of Cape Coast Strikers after the match gave the national team and his team a very pleasant treat.

The Pempamsie Hotel, a high standard hotel in Cape Coast was the venue that hosted the U-17 team after the match.
