Dortmund boss Bosz: 'No idea' how Ousmane Dembele saga will end

Published on: 18 August 2017

Dortmund manager Peter Bosz vows to focus only on the players in his squad while Ousmane Dembele remains on strike.

Borussia Dortmund boss Peter Bosz has "no idea" where Ousmane Dembele will be at the end of the transfer window.

The 20-year-old attacking midfielder went AWOL at the club in hopes of forcing a move to Barcelona, who have stated their interest in signing the France international in the wake of Neymar's departure to Paris Saint-Germain for a record-breaking fee.

Dembele has since been suspended indefinitely by the club for his actions. However Bosz, in his first season with the Bundesliga club after signing on from Ajax, says he's open to welcome the talented player if he should decide to stay.

"I'll try to focus on the players that are here. Ousmane is not," Bosz said. "I have no idea how exactly this will turn out in the end.

Ousmane Dembele has tried to force a move to Barcelona this summer.

"Ousmane is a good lad and a good player. We'll have to talk about how to reintegrate him if [he stays]."

Dortmund saw a potential Inter Milan move for forward Emre Mor fall through in recent days.

Bosz said: "That the transfer didn't come off has nothing to do with BVB.

"It's other people who are involved in the process."
