DR Congo coach Claude Leroy says despite his immense coaching experience at the Africa Cup of Nations the task of facing Ghana in the group phase of next year tournament will prove to be a daunting obstacle.

The Frenchman, who will be making his seventh appearance at the continent's flagship football tournament, says Ghana is their biggest threat of reaching the knock-out phase of the competition in South Africa.

The Simbas will clash with the Black Stars in the opening Group B match of at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa in Janaury.

This comes after the two countries were drawn in the same group to face Mali and Niger after yesterday's draw in Durban.

Le Roy, who knows the Black Stars well having coached the side at the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations says the task of facing the Black Stars is tough.

“The match against Ghana will be very important, it is my seventh Africa Cup of Nations so I know I have the experience, but I must admit that it will be difficult,” said the Frenchman who won the title with Cameroon in 1988.

DR Congo will play Ghana before taking on Niger and Mali.
