Ten-man Real Tamale United drew 1-1 with Tema Youth in a match marred by violence at the Essipong Stadium on Sunday.

Referee David Kumah decision to reverse a late goal scored by Youth's Francis Narh was a major talking point.

Narh's goal was first allowed but the RTU fans stormed the pitch and protest the Ghana U20 striker used his hand to score.

They threatened to cause havoc and referee Kumah had to consult his assistant referee and later had to rule out the goal.

Tema Youth felt hard done by and also launched a strong protest by the players and officials which resulted in the match being held up.

But the controversy was laid to rest and the game had to continue.

It was Tema Youth who opened the scoring through Bright Adjei in first-half stoppage time but Salim Ahmed Sakara levelled for RTU.

RTU occasionally came into the contest but failed to convert any of their scanty chances.

Youth were the first side to have a feel of goal in the game as Narh bundled a shot from close range but referee David Kumah ruled his strike out.

The Habour Boys stepped up their game in the middle and took the lead in the 45th minute.

Moses Odjer showed deft and released Narh who laid for Adjei to coolly finish for the opener.

RTU came back into the game after Sakara crashed home a fierce drive in the 77th minute.
