Dreams FC loanee Abeiku Ainooson returns to Kotoko, giants desperate to keep hold of defender

Defender Abeiku Ainooson is expected to return to Kotoko following the expiration of his short term loan deal at Dreams FC.

The Porcupine Warriors are desperate to keep hold of the player after he excelled during his spell with the Kweiman-based side.

Ainooson left Kotoko on loan under acrimonious circumstances after his botched transfer to Sudanese side Al Hilal.

Dreams FC are reportedly keen on making his loan deal permanent but Kotoko interim coach Michael Osei wants the defender to return to Kumasi.

“Abeiku [Ainooson] went out on loan because at the time he came, we all thought that he would not get enough playing time,” he is quoted by  FootballMadeInGhana.

“We all know about his qualities and we sent him there [Dreams FC] so he can get enough playing time to help shape him up because we didn’t plan with him.

“Now, he is back and part of our plans for the next season.”

There are widespread reports that the former New Edubiase centre-back is reluctant to return to Kumasi due to the shabby treatment he received.
