Dutch-born Ghanaian winger Memphis Depay scored his second Eredivisie goal of the season for PSV Eindhoven as they smoothly edged VVV Venlo 2-0 on Saturday.

Depay, 19, took just three minutes to open the scoring at the Philips Stadion and went on to last the entire duration of the game for the Rood-wittens.

PSV needed maximum points from the game to ensure their title ambitions are kept on track and Depay, born to a Ghanaian mother and a Dutch father, gave them the right impetus with the opener.

Jürgen Locadia hit the by-line with a lightening pace and found Depay who made the chance count by scoring the opener to give PSV a strong start.

Mark Van Bommel then put the points safe by scoring on the stroke of full-time.
