Ebusua Dwarfs coach Professor Kwesi Mintah is refusing to panic despite his side’s slim 1-0 win over Senegalese side ASC Diaraf in their CAF Confederation Cup qualifier.

The Cape Coast-based side needed a deflected shot from striker Richard Gadze in the first half to record the hard fought victory.

Dwarfs must now difficult that slender lead gallantly when they travel for the return leg next week.

Professor Mintah believes his side put up a good showcase and capable of progressing in the competition

"The performance is not that bad considering we are in African and the team has gone through some rough edges," the University of Cape Coast lecturer told GHANASoccernet.com

"In a double fixture, it is always important you don’t concede at home and we manage to do that so its ok."

Dwarf are making a return to Africa since featuring in the defunct CAF Cup 14 years ago.
