Ebusua Dwarfs will report the conduct of referee Awal Mohammed for awarding a ‘dubious’ goal against them during their 1-0 defeat at Medeama.

Striker Kabiru Moro seems to have scored the decisive goal from a corner with his hand in the second half to give Medeama a narrow 1-0 victory at the Tarkwa and Aboso Park.

The visitors are livid with the decision of the controversial man to allow the goal to stand and have confirmed to report his conduct to the referee’s review  panel  of the Ghana Football Association.

“It was a day of shame for refereeing in Ghana and I am very sad that this man (Awal Mohammed) will continuously be allowed to officiate matches,” Dwarfs administrative manager John Ansah told Peace Power Sports

“The striker scored the goal with his hands and shockinghly he allowed it to stand. The home supporters were even surprised themselves.

“We will report his conduct and hopefully he will be sanctioned. I think he should not be allowed to officiate matches again. He is an apology to referees in Ghana.

“How can we continue like this? We complained about his appointment and now we’re all leaving testimonies to it."

Argentine legend Diego Maradona grabbed all the headlines in the 1986 Fifa World Cup when he scored with the aid of his hand to help the South Americans beat England at the quarter-final stage.

The infamous incident was dubbed ‘ Hand of God’ goal.

Dwarfs will battle in-form Hearts of Oak at a yet to be determined venue on Sunday.
