Ebusua Dwarfs will be reporting ASC Diaraaf to CAF for the bringing forward the return leg match of their Confederations Cup tie without permission.

The Ghanaian side managed to hold the Senegalese club to a 0-0 draw to progress in the competition on Saturday on a 1-0 aggregate scoreline.

Dwarfs have however raised a protest over the sudden change in the match date.

According to CAF rules, the date to an earlier confirmed game and venue cannot be changed within 10-days to the said match.

Dwarfs nevertheless played the game despite the serious inconvenience and secured the desired result.

The club now says it will be reporting the Senegalese club to CAF despite their progression.

“We were told the match will be played on the 16th so we left here [Accra] on Friday and arrived in Senegal at dawn,” Dwarfs’ Chief Executive Nana Aidoo told Peace FM.

“Then later in the morning we were told to come for pre-match and was told the match is coming on that same day.

“After various consultations we decided to play the game but all the same we are going to report the side to CAF by going through the Ghana FA.”
