Emmanuel Commodore Mensah is contemplating resigning his position as board member of Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak, GHANAsoccernet.com is reliably informed.

The former board chairman of the Phobians is being convinced to stay in his position after revealing his intentions to some of the top officials of the club.

Mensah is said to feel worthless in the running of the club under the board leadership of Togbe Afede XIV.

The board chairman alongside Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe are rumoured to have monopolized decision making at the board level with their only opposition being Frank Nelson.

Mensah has already prepared a resignation letter but is yet to tender it.

He is one of the big shareholders of the club.

Mensah handed over his position as board chairman to Togbe Afede XIV five years ago after the respected chief emerged the highest purchaser of the club’s shares when it was floated to the public in 2010.

Hearts of Oak only recently ratified the appointment of two new members of the board at its Annual General Meeting with Barima Atuahene and Kwesi Esso joining.
