Head coach of Ebusua Dwarfs Prosper Narteh Ogum has reveaed the secret behind his side’s recent rise in form by crediting discipline and determination as the two determinants.
According to the University of Cape Coast Physical Education lecturer, the attitude of the playing body towards training and their determination to escape relegation has been their driving force.
Coach Roo as he is affectionately referred, Prosper claims that the discipline level of the team has risen pointing out their readiness to achieve their target for the season.
“It’s all about discipline at training and determination to play and win. That is doing the whole job,” he said.
“I have also been able to pillar my training programs around the capabilities of the players.
“When I took over, I watched them, accessed them and got to know their abilities and potentials and designed my training programs that met their strengths.
“I also had to work on their psychology. I asked them to be mentally tough to over their weaknesses and to believe that they will be able to escape relegation and that has been able to do the trick,” he added.
Dwarfs have enjoyed an impressive run under Prosper Narteh Ogum winning seven matches with two loses and two draws since match day fourteen.
