Ghana Premier League side New Edubiase United have confirmed they will play their home matches for the new season at Bekwai.

Edubiase, playing in their second season in the top flight, have decided to re-locate to the Gyamfi Park after using the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.

An inspection team from the Premier League Board has been assessing the venues of all sixteen teams in the top flight.

"The PLB came to inspect our facilities here and have now approved the usage of the Gyamfi Park as our home venue for next season," Club President Abdul Salam Yakubu said.

"A lot of decision went into the move to move from Obuasi to Bekwai. One of such reasons was the inability of most of our fans to Obuasi to watch our home matches which affected our finances last season."

Edubiase survived demotion on the final match day last season.
