Arsenal and Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Nasser Elsayed ElNeny has special respect for Ghana but is optimistic that Egypt can qualify for the world Cup.

As quoted by CAF.com, ElNeny has special respect for all the opponents in group E of the FIFA World Cup 2018 qualifiers.

“We didn't have any favourable opponents. The team that wants to qualify has to face all the others without any preferences. Egypt has a new generation of players that have the character and will to play against any team”.

The former El Mokawloon and Basel midfielder has the desire to work for qualification. We want to make Egyptians happy.

The last time we played in the FIFA World Cup, I wasn’t even born, so it's about time to experience the World Cup once again. I'm positive we can qualify regardless of our opponents.

Egypt was drawn in group E alongside Uganda, Ghana and Congo Brazzaville.

The Pharaohs start the campaign away from home Congo Brazzaville on 3rd October 2016. On the same day, Uganda Cranes will also have traveled to Ghana.

All Group E Matches:
