Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Premier League side Eleven Wonders, Takyi Arhin says government should make efforts of funding players salaries as it takes steps to dissolve the Ghana Football Association.
The government of Ghana have started a process of dissolving the Football Association following the unsavory revelations of the Anas expose, which showed top football official receiving cash gifts to influence the sport in diverse ways.
On Monday, the Attorney General placed a ten day injunction on all football activities in the country. Meanwhile, a five member committee has also being instituted to see to the restructuring of football in the country.
Following the in-activities of clubs and the expenses that comes with it, C.E.O of Eleven Wonders Takyi Arhin has called on government to also start funding salaries of players.
"We pay players and coaches salaries. Apart from that, we also settle their bills," Takyi Arhin said. "The players' salaries should be funded by the government if the GFA is dissolved," he continued.
"Players can easily get rust when there are no competitive matches to be played," he added.
The five member committee by the government is chaired by former Sports Minister Dr. Kofi Amoah and has been tasked with the dissolution of the FA.
