Emmanuel Baffour is optimistic about AshGold's chances

Former Ghana Premier League Golden Shoe Award winner Emmanuel Baffour has issued a warning to league rivals to expect a tougher AshantiGold side when the Ghana Premier League begins.

The ex-Mamelodi Sundowns forward became optimistic about the Miners chances of taking over the Ghana Premier League when it begins after he scored to inspire AshGold's 2-0 win over Kotoko a in friendly on Sunday.

"For some of us, our preparation has been on the low because the technical team believes that its better that way, though once in a while we play some friendly matches," he told Sports Crusader.

"We are fired up for the season and our fans and all who love football should expect a new Ashgold in the coming season, because I believe that we are going all out to win the league trophy," he added.

Baffour joined AshGold after returning from South Africa where he enjoyed an unsuccessful spell with Sundowns.
