Ghanaian striker Emmanuel Baffour has refused to sign for South African second-tier side Jomo Cosmos.
The 24-year-old is struggling to find a new club after he was deemed surplus to requirement at Mamelodi Sundowns.
Cosmos wanted to rescue him but the ex-New Edubiase attacker refused to sign for them claiming playing in the lower division was not attractive to him.
“I’m trying to get a club. But the problem is that the transfer window has closed. But if a player has his clearance he can go to any team he likes,” Baffour said
“They (Sundowns) were supposed to take me to Jomo Cosmos. But I told them that I don’t like the club. I told them that I don’t like playing in division one.
“I would love to play in the big league so that I can play for my national team.”
