Ghanaian striker Emmanuel Boateng became the third player to score a hat-trick in the history of Levante and the first as an African at the club.
Boateng ended Barcelona's unbeaten run this season in the La Liga with a hat-trick in the 9 goal thriller of the penultimate game of the campaign.
Having joined form Portuguese side Moreirense, a lot was not expected from the 21 year old but the former Ghana U-20 forward has recorded several feats including scoring against both Real Madrid and Barcelona.
He also became the first player to score a hat-trick against Barcelona in 13 years after Diego Forlan in 2005.
The former Moreirense forward joins David Barral and Rigano as the only Levante players to have ever scored a hat-trick in the top division.
Italian striker Christian Rigano scored Levante's first ever hat-trick against Almeria in the 2007/08 season before David Barral achieved same feat in the game against Malaga in the 2014/15 season.
Emmanuel Boateng's hat-trick is historic because it ended Barcelona's 36 games unbeaten run in the La Liga and became the first African to score a hat-trick for Levante.
