Clottey, Mohammed on Black Stars stand-bye list

Ghana coach Goran Stevanovic has named Emmanuel Clottey and Awal Mohammed in a stand-bye list for this month's assignments against Congo and England.

Striker Clottey was initially reported to be on the final list but was absent from the confirmed list released on Monday.

The Berekum Chelsea player is the Ghana Premier League joint second top scorer with 8 goals from 21 matches.

He was a second half substitute last September's 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sudan at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Asante Kotoko centre-back Awal Mohammed has also been told to wait in case of any eventuality.

Ghana play Congo on 27 March in Bravazille before engaging England in an exhibition match at the new Wembley two days later.
