Emmanuel Frimpong set for Charlton debut

Would-be Ghana international Emmanuel Frimpong is to mark his debut for Charlton Athletics against Huddersfield in the English Npower CHampionship on Saturday.

The 20-year-old hard-tackling former England U16 captain signed for the Addicks this week on a deal keeping him at the Valley until January 1.

Frimpong will have to beat off competition from Eggert Jonsson and Johnnie Jackson for a starting place in Chris Powell's line-up.

This will be his first competitive game since playing part in Arsenal's 7-5 FA Cup win over Reading in October.

He is hoping to regain his lost form and weave his way back into Arsene Wenger's first team squad.
