England manager Sam Allardyce has admitted the difficult decisions he had to make when picking the 23-man squad this week.
He left out Ross Barkley which he insists was the hardest decision of all. However, Sam did say that his door would always be open for the Everton midfielder.
Barkley didn't get even one minute on the pitch at the European Championships in France but the players who failed to perform all kept their places.
“It’s been a well thought-out squad. We’ve had to make some very difficult decisions, none more so than Ross Barkley.
“For him it’s disappointing but the door is always open and I have to make these decisions. I feel the squad Iâve picked is the right one at this moment.”
