English-born Ghanaian forward Kwame Thomas battling injuries at Coventry City

English-born Ghanaian forward Kwame Thomas has been knocked back by an injury after missing Coventry City's opening two fixtures of the season.

The 21-year-old failed to make the bench for the Sky Blues' League two opener against Notty County last weekend.

He was again left out of the squad that lost 3-1 at home to Blackburn Rovers in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night.

And manager Mark Robins  has revealed the Ghanaian is suffering from injury.

“He’s just missing out at the moment.

“He’s been injured through the pre-season and just playing catch-up.”

Thomas has struggled with injuries since signing for City from Derby County last summer, missing the best part of six months of his first campaign at the Ricoh Arena with an abdominal problem.
