English League One side Coventry City have completed the signing of Ghanaian forward Kwame Thomas on a two-year-deal, the club has announced.

The move is pending the approval of the FA and Football League.

The promising forward, 20, was released Derby County at the end of the season and the Sky Blues have moved quickly to sign him on a deal that will keep him until 2018 summer.

He had loan spells at Notts County and more recently Blackpool during 2015, making 22 appearances for the Tangerines during a four month stint.

He will quickly join the club's pre-season campaign to get him aligned with his new team-mates for the upcoming season as City seek promotion back to the Championship.

He joins Ghanaian glovesman Corey Addai who joined City from Arsenal last season.
