Wa All Stars head coach Enos Adepah has admitted that defending their Ghana Premier league crown will be a daunting challenge.

The Wa-based side defied all odds to win their maiden Ghana Premier League title last season.

However, the club have started their title defense indifferently as they have managed only three wins from their opening eight games and find themselves in 6th position compared to last season where by this stage of the season, were 3rd on the table.

“At the beginning, we knew is never going to be easy even though we are the defending Champions,” he told reporters.

“We have lost a couple of our key players and it is a factor, are still target to defend the League title, that is our target, but of course it not going to be easy.”

They suffered a 4-1 defeat to WAFA at home in their week 3 outstanding fixture last Sunday but will aim to return to winning ways when they travel to Dormaa to lock horns with Aduana Stars on Match Day 9 on Sunday.
