Striker Eric Gawu believes his career is being revived at Ghanaian second tier club Dreams FC after giving up on his career a few months ago.

The 32-year-old scored a brace over the weekend to help Dreams extend their lead at the top of Zone 3 in the GN Bank Division One League.

The win enhances the Premier League qualification ambitions of the Kweiman-based club.

And Gawu who only joined the side two months ago is delighted to be enjoying his football again after several failed bids to resurrect what many believed was his dead career.

“I told a few friends about four months ago that my career had ended because no one wanted to have me in their team,” Gawu said

“I felt honoured when Dreams FC came calling and I must say that it has helped me to rediscover my almost abandoned dream.

“Today I am a different person in this club, everyone loves me, the young lads play good and we want to fight together for this club.

“My confidence has seen a major rise and my career is back on.”

Gawu is most remembered for his time with King Faisal where he used to terrorize defenders in the Ghanaian top flight.

He later joined Hearts of Oak where he struggled to live up to his big name move.
