Spanish side Espanyol have knocked down interest in Ghanaian striker Samuel Affum due to the attitude of his club Hearts of Oak.

Espanyol wanted a trial session for the 20-year-old but the dethroned Ghanaian champions failed to release him.

Hearts are reported to have written to the La Liga side stating that the player can also be released after 20 July when the Ghana League ends on 12 May.

Affum is second joint top scorer in the league with 10 goals.

He is also a member of the home-based national team.
